Factur-X e-invoice checker
Drop a received or issued invoice: the tool extracts its XML, shows its readable content (parties, lines, VAT, payment) and checks its consistency. The file is read in your browser and is not sent to any server.

What the tool checks
- The PDF: attached XML, file name, PDF/A-3 declaration, Factur-X metadata.
- Mandatory data: number, date, document type, currency, seller, buyer, lines.
- French e-invoicing rules: SIREN and its check digit, electronic addresses, VAT numbers, legal payment notes.
- Amounts: each line, total excluding VAT, VAT by rate, total including VAT and amount due. The IBAN is checked too.
What the tool does not replace
These checks verify the file's consistency, not its official compliance. Reference validation applies the European (EN 16931) and French (BR-FR schematrons) rules with tools like Mustang or the FNFE-MPE tool. Only CII (Factur-X) is read: UBL files are not yet.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Factur-X invoice?
A PDF people can read that embeds an XML file software can read. Both carry the same information, which allows automatic processing.
Is my file sent anywhere?
No. The file is read in your browser and never leaves your computer.
What does a warning mean?
A recommended or French-expected item is missing or doubtful, without the file necessarily being rejected. Fix it if you issue the invoice.
Is this an official validation?
No. It detects common mistakes. For a reference validation, use an official tool such as the FNFE-MPE one or Mustang.
