Company director pay simulator
Enter your company's turnover and expenses and pick a status: the simulator computes the director's contributions, corporate tax, income tax, any dividends and what is left. A table compares all statuses.
Total cost for the company: contributions included.
Loading the calculation model…
Calculations based on Urssaf's open source model (mon-entreprise.urssaf.fr), run in your browser. Indicative estimate: it replaces neither a payslip nor professional advice.
How to read the result
- SASU and minority SARL manager: the director is treated as an employee, with contributions close to an employee's.
- EURL, majority SARL manager and sole trader: the director is self-employed, under the self-employed contribution scheme.
- Corporate-tax statuses: you choose the director's pay. The remaining profit is taxed, then can be paid as dividends or kept in the company.
- EURL under income tax and sole trader: profit is taxed directly in the entrepreneur's name and is the base for contributions.
What the simulator does not cover
Dividends are only simulated for a sole shareholder (SASU and EURL under corporate tax). For an EURL, dividends above 10% of the share capital may be subject to social contributions: the simulator does not ask for the share capital, check this point. Accounting and creation costs and aids are not included. Tax is estimated for a household with no other income.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between employee-like and self-employed directors?
An employee-like director (SASU, minority SARL manager) contributes like an employee, without unemployment insurance. A self-employed director (EURL, majority SARL manager, sole trader) contributes to the self-employed scheme, usually with lower contributions for the same pay.
How are dividends taxed?
Either at the flat tax or at the progressive income tax scale, your choice. Both are offered. Dividends also bear social levies.
What happens to profit I do not distribute?
It stays in the company, after corporate tax, and can be distributed later or reinvested. The simulator shows it as “kept in the company”.
Does the simulator replace an accountant?
No. It gives an order of magnitude to compare statuses. Your situation (capital, other income, spouse, aids) can change the result: have it checked by a professional before choosing.
